Boeing has been a very good long term investment.  Interestingly enough, an investment at the beginning of 1975 would be worth over $2.8 million more than an investment at the beginning of 1970.  Also, between 1976 and 1981 the stock had 3 splits and rapid growth creating a ten fold difference between investing in 1975 versus 1980.  In the last 15-20 years, the stock performance of Boeing has had decent results, still managing a return of nearly 900% since 2000, and a gain of over 600% since 2005. However, in more recent years the stock has struggled following its problems with the 737 Max.
