As you can see Boeing has had very interesting stock fluctuations. Between 1976 and 1981 the stock had 3 splits and rapid growth creating a ten fold difference between investing in '76 versus '81. Another interesting feature is the recent stock movement of Boeing. In fact you would have more money if you had invested at the beginning of 2005 rather than the beginning of 2001. The stock fell for several years before rebounding recently.
