Intel Corporation (INTC) has been around as a public company much longer than I realized.   Since 1976, Intel Corporation has had 11 stock splits with six of them coming before 1987.  As a result, Intel has produced some excellent long term returns.  However, in recent years the stock has struggled, producing mainly negative returns since the turn of the century. Competition and shrinking margins are the main reason for the decline, but recently INTC has shown signs of improvement, time will tell.
