Disclaimer/Contact Us
Apple, Inc. (AAPL) has a very unusual historical stock performance with the older purchase dates not necessarily producing the highest return. Part of this is due to the fact that Apple was mainly concentrated in their computers during the 1990s and Apple's stock price saw very little price appreciation. However, when Apple (AAPL) reinvented itself around the turn of the century the stock price shot up dramatically. In fact, $5,000 invested in AAPL at the beginning of 2001 would have been worth close to $60,000 at the end of 2006. As a side note, Apple began paying a dividend in 1987 and continued paying a dividend until 1995. Since then, Apple, Inc. has not paid a dividend.
