Xerox Corporation (XRX) at one time was considered one of the "big boys" and a solid blue chip pick, but times have changed. Unfortunately, the past 30 years haven't been very kind to Xerox Corporation. A $5,000 investment at the beginning of 1976 would have only grown to a little over $29,000 at the end of 2006. From 1996 to 2006 would have seen your investment actually shrink. In February 2001, Xerox quit paying a dividend and has not resumed paying one since then. Ironically, a $5,000 investment in (XRX) at the beginning of 2001 would grown to over $16,000 at the end of 2006.
